2) have finished me second year of bachelor, two more years to study.
3) got a job as shop assistant at Adidas, made some money and quit.
4) got a summer internship at Renaissance Hotel, the one the Marriott chain of hotels and resorts. Hospitality business is, actually, fun!
5) have met a lof of new wonderful people! and still care about my "old" wonderful people) well, the fact is, I am surrounded with wonderful people and I'm very-very happy about it!

spring mood

one of Blair-like photos;)
A lot has happened since my last post was posted! The latesn news are: i've taken TOEFL exam, visited my parents after a long break, and celebrated a birthday of my best friend;)
TOEFL exam was very stressful, but not very difficult. All my efforts paid off, the result is outstanding: 653 out of 677! I was so happy! It is like a recognition of my progress and development of 2 last years after taking Russian State Exam in English!:) Hopefully, such a great result will open the doors of Bocconi University for me, it will be announced in 2 weeks. I got a bit obsessed about it...:D For example, I nearly bought Moleskine Milano Citynotebook without knowing whether I'm going there or not!:)
Spending time with family was amazing. And worthless! It was so sad to go back to St Petersburg... But I'm getting used to it and I also have plans to go back home on my Dad's birthday.
Anna, Darina and me
Speaking about birthday, the one of my best friend Darina was a huge success)) She is so nice! and friend of her, whom I didn't know before! We had dinner in my favourite Zoome Café (Gorokhovaya street, 22, check it out!) and then ate a cake in a small park in the city centre! It was soo funny! And I'm looking forward to my birthday so much;)

Also i've almost finished a theoretical course for Economic Forum, the exam is next week. I have no doubts that I'll pass it;) At one of the lectures the teacher asked if there were anyone who speaks Chinese, because this year there are a big delegation from China. 3 or 4 persons raised their hand and I was so upset that my Chinese is not good enough for official conversations with successful entrepreneurs from China! But it is such a great motivator for improving, right?

Promise not to forget to update the blog! And here is a photo from Darina's birthday. From left to right: Anna, our common friend, Darina and me.

Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum

Hey, guys!
Remember I told you about taking part in a great project, but  I kept it as a secret? Now I can tell you! The project is Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, which takes places in St Pete every June! Well, I'm not wealthy enough to be a real participant, but I might volunteer there. By volunteering I mean working really hard:) Since March till May there will be a preparatory course (lectures and trainings). today I attended the intro lecture and it makes me want to work there even more! We're going to learn everything about The Forum and its organizators, the way how LenEXPO (the biggest and the most prestigious place for  helding diferrent congresses in the city) system works, coordinting the work of mass media, business russian (or something like that, I didn't get it) and business etiquette. After completing the course we'll get the certificate, that veryfies the fact that we can organize international congresses very well - the dream of a person who studies International Management, I guess:) And also volunteers for Sochi 2014 will be picked out from the list of people, who has been working at this forum. Well, I'm not even going to speak about great base for networking:) Maybe I will meet the president or at least someone from Forbes Russia Top-100:)

These classes will be in the evening hours, so theoretically they won't interrupt my university activities. But getting back home at 10 p.m is not the thing I'm dreaming about. Hope it will worth it! The first (well, officially the second) class will be on 14th of March and my TOEFL test is on 19th, so everything is almost perfectly scheduled:) Participating at this forum is something that even my parents are approving of (which is such a rare thing! :D) I remember when I was at my last years of high school and there was something about this forum on TV, Dad told something like "Well, that's what students should do! Not just hanging out and going out to the clubs!" The only thing is, they are worried that I'll be too tired... Well, I'm worried about it as well....but I will try at least!

And also - tadam! - I have decided how my list of options for the exchange semester will look like!
1. Bocconi University in Milano
2. Rennes Business School in Rennes, France
3. Vienne University
4. NOVA University in Lisbon

Well, Vienne and Rennes can change places:) I don't speak neither french nor german, but french sounds nicer! At the same time there is a student dorm in Vienne and in Rennes you should rent by yourself, which is more confusing and a bit scary. Try to figure out this puzzle in the nearest future:)

Tanya

forever friends

Hello, everyone:)
How are you? I'm doing fine! Since the last post, I've moved to another room in the dorm - nicer one, cozier one, warmer one...and with better kitchen:)
Last Sunday I spend an amazing time with my best friend Darina! Walking around St. Pete, shopping in a new large mall in the city center (and running into a huge sale at ZARA:)), having lunch at a wonderful italian restaurant Il Patio and making plans for the future! making plans is our favorite part - we're imagining our future lives and everything looks so bright...dreams-dreams!:) I can say without doubts that Darina is my best friend. We've accidentally met 1,5 years ago and had no quarrels for all this time:) maybe because we are studying in different universities, so we usually meet once a week. So there is no time for unnecessary arguing:)
Tomorrow I'll have my Chinese class (finally!!!). So today I bought a very nice red folder for all the notes - the first step to success in studies:) And in the evening my friend and I are invited to a dinner in a new flat of my buddy (according to gsom program:)). Guys promised us home-made pizza, we'll check it tomorrow:)

Kisses,
Tanya

saturday and plans

Last weekend was crazy! First time in my life I've managed to lose my cell phone in a club!!! Don't remember how and when exactly...For half an hour I was looking for it everywhere, but... nothing! I guess I lost it, because everithing else was still at its own place. The phone was cheap and not very new....but I lost all the contacts,  all the texts, photos, music....:( Sad-sad-sad. Well, the club part was the last one on Saturday night:)
Before that we went to the cuban restaraunt with friends, had a lot of fun and ate a really delicious food:) Thanks Nastya for the photos again:) Then we went to the house party at french guys' flat, spent several hours there and I really enjoyed it.

Also my Chinese classes will start next Friday! It was a long break in my studies, practically half of a year.... now I have to revise everything in a week!
Yesterday I applied for participation in a very interesting project! Hope everything will work out! If so, I get a lot of new important connections, experience and some money :) When everything will start officially, I'll tell you all about it!

Kisses,
Tanya
